Come celebrate Robert Burns‘ birthday with us at our Not Quite Burns Night fundraiser at Smoketown Brewing Station! We will be having a silent auction and part of the beer sales this evening will go to the Friends of the Library. Smoketown will be introducing their new Scottish Ale: Simpson’s Balley Swagger. Additionally, we’re planning some Burns’ trivia, reading of Burns poetry, and a bagpiper. There’s sure to be a few kilts as well. Space at the brewery is limited, so come early! As you may or may not know, the annual used book sale at Brunswick Railroad Days is our biggest event of the year, not to mention our primary fundraiser. Believe it or not, October 1 is only a month-and-a-half away. We need your help to make it successful. We would appreciate a donation of a couple of hours of your time on October 1 and/or October 2 during Railroad Days. We need help with book sales, organizing the books, and especially with setup (on Saturday) and breakdown (on Sunday). Not sure if volunteering is for you? Bring a friend!...
