Railroad Days 2024 – Call for donations!

Hello, Friend!

As you know, our annual used book sale at Railroad Days (October 5&6 this year) is our biggest event of the year. However, we can’t be successful without your generous donation.

If you have books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, in sellable condition that you would like to donate to our sale, please bring them to the Brunswick Library and let the staff there know that you’re dropping items off for the Friends of the Library. We can accept donations until October 3.

In circumstances where you have a lot of items to donate, please get in touch with us (contact details are below) and we’ll make arrangements for a pickup.

Please note: VHS tapes, cassettes, magazines, and moldy and/or damaged books are not “sellable”; we can’t take those.

Thank you for your support and generosity. We hope to see you at Railroad Days!

It’s time for the Railroad Days book sale!

Well, as predicted, this all came up faster than we realized.

Railroad Days starts tomorrow and, with it, The Friends of the Brunswick Library’s used book sale.

We’ll be at the American Legion parking lot starting at 10:00 both days. We have a pretty large stock of books, so come on down to see us. Not just books, either. We’ve got audio books, DVDs, CDs, books on tape, and even VHS video cassettes.

It’s not too late to volunteer to help out either. We can always use a few more hands.

Oh, and considering the weather for the last few Railroad Days, we’d appreciate any rain dances, good luck charms, or other interventions you have available to make sure we have good weather.

Railroad Days Used Book Sale – October 6&7

Our annual Used Book Sale at Railroad Days is coming up! We’re going to have thousands of books, along with a good collection of DVDs, video cassettes, CDs, and books on tape. Some very interesting specialty items. We’ll have tons of kids books!

Assuming the weather cooperates, we will be there both days for Railroad Days, October 6 & 7, 2018. Festivities kick off at 10:00 AM.

See you there!

Railroad Days Volunteers Needed: Oct 3 & 4

The Railroad Days book sale is the Friends’ biggest fundraising event of the year, and we need your help with set-up and sales. There are 3 ways for you to sign up:

Bring a friend! The more the merrier, many hands make light work, and other aphorisms.
As in past years, the book sale will be in the parking lot of the American Legion Post building right next to the railroad tracks in downtown Brunswick, Maryland.

In addition… we are still in need donations of books to sell.  If you have books you can donate, please drop them off at the Brunswick Library.  Any questions please email us at FOLBrunswick@gmail.com or call at 240-285-9583.

Railroad Days 2014 – Thank you!

It’s been a long couple of days, but it’s finally over. All indications are that we had another successful book sale.

Many thanks to those who came out to see us today and, hopefully, buy a book or three. All of the money earned will go directly to supporting our local library.

Special thanks go to all of our volunteers who withstood bright sun, biting wind, and carried lots and lots (and lots!) of books. We couldn’t have done it without you.
